5 ways to go Green

With today’s economy the way it is, it is hard to make sure you get all of your bills paid on time let alone try to buy things that are not really needed for the house. What if there is a way to pay your bills and still get the things you need for your house without breaking the bank? Well, you can do it and here are 5 tips that will help you go green and save a bunch of money just by doing a few simple thing for you are your house.

You can look into making a solar panel or windmill to produce energy to lower the cost of your electric bill. If you decide to build a green energy producing storage system, you can produce your own electricity lowering you electric bill by at least $250 a year.

You can get a green car. This might be out of some people’s reach because of the cost but it is a good step if you can afford it. An electric car will be good for people who live in the city or don’t have to drive that far. The charge on the battery that’s in the car will allow you to travel for about 6 hours of non-stop driving.

Another thing you can do is when you go to the grocery store, ask for paper bags or bring your own bags from home that you bought from somewhere else. This way you can cut down on the garbage that ends up in landfills. Those plastic bags that they hand out at
the grocery stores are not biodegradable so they just stay in the landfills, creating a pile of garbage that wont go away.

If you want to save money and go green, then you can get things that are biodegradable like cardboard and paper. Groceries come in all shapes and forms but if you but things that are in cardboard boxes like noodles and cereal, then you are doing things for the environment. If you are unable to buy cardboard or paper packaging, then you need to recycle the things that can’t be reused.

Another thing you can go green is to replace appliances in your house that don’t use a lot of electricity. Get appliances that are energy star approved. The less power you can use, the less your bill and the less pollutants go into the air fro the energy you are using. Also to combat the pollutants that are getting released into the air, plant a tree. They take the harmful things out of the air and give us the oxygen that we breathe in every day.
